OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Filling up the post of Deputy Development Commissioner (Group ’A’ – Gazetted) in the newly created Special Economic Zones in Kerala and Karnataka in the Pay Band of Rs.15,600-39,100/- (PB-3) with Grade Pay of Rs.6,600/- on deputation basis.

The undersigned is directed to say that it is proposed to fill up 4 posts of Deputy Development Commissioner in the new SEZs in Kerala and Karnataka in the Pay Band of Rs.15,600-39,100/- (PB-3) with Grade Pay of Rs.6,600/- on deputation basis at Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangalore and Belgaum.
2. It is requested that applications from the officers holding analogous posts on regular basis in the given Proforma (Annexure II) in duplicate along with bio-data, attested copies of annual confidential reports for the last 5 years, major/minor penalties if any imposed during last 10 years and clearance certificate from the vigilance angle to fill up these posts may please be forwarded so as to reach this office on or before 24th July 2010. Job requirements for the post are as given below:
(a) Scrutiny/Approval of the Projects/proposal under SEZ Scheme
(b) Policy, Procedure and licensing work related to SEZ Units.
(c) Coordination with State Government Departments relating to various
issues concerning SEZ Units.
(d) General Administrative matters.
Experience of three years in Foreign Trade/ Industrial Development is desirable.
3. Applications received after the last date or without the confidential reports or other relevant documents or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered.
4. The appointment will be on deputation basis. The period deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years. The selected officers will have the option to draw his/her grade pay plus deputation (duty) allowance, in accordance with Ministry of Finance OM No.10/24/E.III/60 dated 4th may 1961 as amended from time to time.
