No.43/2003- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (f) of
Section 2 and Section 5 of the Kerala Industrial Single Window
Clearance Boards and Industrial Township Area Development Act,
1999 (5 of 2000), the Government of Kerala hereby make the
following amendment to the notification issued under G.O. (Rt.)
No. 1135/2000/ID dated 20th October, 2000, and
published as S.R.O. No.1000/2000 in the Kerala Gazette
Extraordinary No.1914 dated 24th October, 2000,
namely:-
AMENDMENT
In the said notification for the words “Cochin Export
Processing Zone” wherever they occur, the words, “Cochin Special
Economic Zone” shall be substituted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to
indicate its general purport).
As per Notification issued under G.O. (Rt.) No.1135/2000/ID, dated
20th October, 2000, and published as S. R. O. No. 1000/2000 in the
Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1914, dated 24th October, 2000,
the Government of Kerala had declared Cochin Export Processing
Zone to be an Industrial Area of the State and constituted a
Single Window Clearance Board to be known as “Cochin Export
Processing Zone Single Window Clearance Board”. Now as per
Resolution No.6/8/99-EPZ, dated 1st November, 2000, the Government
of India have converted the “Cochin Export Processing Zone” in the
State into “Cochin Special Economic Zone”, with effect from 1st
November, 2000, warranting necessary modification in the said
Notification.
This notification is intended to achieve the above subject.

S.R.O.No.1000/2000- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause
(f) of section 2 and section 5 of the Kerala Industrial Single
Window Clearance Boards and Industrial Township Area Development
Act, 1995 (5 of 2000) the Government of Kerala hereby declare
Cochin Export Processing Zone to be an Industrial Area of the
State, and constitute a Single Window Clearance Board for the said
area to be known as “Cochin Export Processing Zone, Single
Window Clearance Board”, for the purpose of speedy issue of
various licences, clearances or certificates required under the
various State enactments for setting up of small scale industrial
undertakings, or industrial undertakings with the following
members mentioned in the Schedule, namely:-

of the Agency owning or managing the industrial area and the

Ernalulam

Town Planner, Ernakulam

Ernakulam
9. Inspector
of Factories and Boilers, Grade I, Ernakulam
10. Assistant
Divisional Officer, Fire Force, Ernakulam

Under
sub-section (4) of Section 5 of the said Act, the Government of
Kerala hereby appoint the Principal Secretary to Government,
Industries Department to be the Chairman of the said Board and the
Development Commissioner, Cochin Export Processing Zone the Chief
Executive of the Agency owning or managing the industrial area and
the Designated Authority of the industrial area, to be its
convener.

Explanatory Note

As per
clause (f) of section 2 and section 5 of the Kerala Industrial
Single Window Clearance Boards and Industrial Township Area
Development Act, 1999 (5 of 2000), Government may declare any area
in the State to be an industrial area and constitute Single Window
Clearance Board for the said area.
