C I R C U L A R

 

 

Subject:  Processing of CST reimbursement claims – procedure - reg.

 

 

            As per the Handbook of Procedures CST claims have to be preferred within 6 months from the close of the quarter to which the claim pertain (i.e. the prescribed date).  If the claims are submitted within 6 months from the prescribed date 2% late cut will apply.  If the claims are submitted after 6 months from the prescribed date but within one year 5% late cut will apply.  In respect of supplementary claims the claims have to be preferred within specified time limit i.e. within 12 months from the prescribed date and 10% cut shall apply.

 

            The CST reimbursement claims submitted by the units will be processed as follows:-

 

1.  The CST claims accompanied by CA Certificate and table as prescribed in the HOP, original C form Counter foil and copy of original C form will be treated as complete. The date of receipt of such claims in this office will be treated as the date of submission of the claim.

2.  Deficiencies in the claim will be communicated to the unit giving 1 month’s time from the date of despatch to clear the deficiencies.

3.  If the deficiencies are not cleared within one month’s time a reminder will be issued giving further three weeks time from the date of dispatch of the reminder.

4.  If the deficiencies are not cleared within the extended time the claim shall stand rejected/admitted (as the case may be) to the extent of eligible amount as per the available documents.  Claims so settled once will be treated as closed and it will not be reopened at any event. No further correspondence in this regard will be entertained in future.

5. The supplementary claims also will be processed as per the above procedure.

6.  All units are requested to comply with the time periods stipulated above.
